The thinking behind Optz

  1. Problem

    Small and medium Brazilian farmers have no affordable way to monitor crop health, deforestation, or land changes using satellite data. Existing tools are expensive and complex.

  2. Solution

    Built a Next.js 16 app with MapLibre GL for interactive maps, Three.js for 3D terrain visualization, Python OpenCV for image enhancement, and OpenAI Vision API for AI-powered change detection β€” all accessible via a bilingual (pt-BR/en) interface.

  3. Impact

    Makes satellite-based land monitoring accessible to farmers who previously had no visibility into their parcels from space. Supports Bitcoin Lightning payments via BTCPay Server.
